Specification

The clients attention is drawn to the manufacturers brochure and safety literature in regards to the safe use and application of products which the company may supply. The client shall be wholly responsible for checking that products are appropriate for use and application to which they may be put. The description of goods within this catalogue have been supplied by manufacturers and were correct at the time the catalogue was created. In view of the rights claimed by manufacturers to change specification without notice and whilst all reasonable care is taken to ensure that due notification of change is given, clients are advised to check the exact specification of all goods PRIOR TO ORDER where variations will be material to performance.

The Chemicals (Hazard information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations 2002.

This catalogue contains products classified as dangerous substances and dangerous preparations under The Chemicals (Hazard information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations 2002 commonly known as CHIP3. These regulations require product labelling and packaging to highlight the type of hazard associated with these products. The regulations also require that advertisements for such products mention the type of hazard indicated on the label, where the advertisement enables a person, otherwise in the course of business, to conclude a contract to purchase the dangerous preparation before that person has seen the label relating to the dangerous preparation. Purchasing products from this catalogue is obviously such a case. We therefore highlight that this catalogue is for business users only who use these products in the course of business and we explicitly expose that the advertisements for products in this catalogue do not mention the type of hazard indicated on the label. Safety data sheets are available from any branch and we recommend that these are read and understood. It is the responsibility of the client to request data sheets as required.
