Training Our Staff

Induction Training

New operatives receive induction training from area management. When training is complete, the forms are retained on personnel records to be used as a reference and are reviewed on an ongoing basis. The key topics covered for training on site staff are:

  • the requirement to work safely on site
  • the need to ensure personal safety
  • the need to use chemicals wisely and safely
  • to know what to do in an emergency
  • the requirement to ensure that equipment is serviced and maintained properly (PAT Testing)
  • to use protective equipment and clothing as provided and as appropriate to the task in question

On Going Training

Since regulation changes frequently a health and safety review is completed annually on each site to consider any fundamental changes that have occurred at the location over the previous twelve months. These are opportunities to introduce any new procedures that the company may have adopted and to ensure that the current policies in place are being implemented. Our window cleaners attend courses which result in them obtaining certification from the BWCA (British Window Cleaning Association).

For our full time operatives and area management, we provide NVQ training courses which enable them to keep current with any new working practices.
